The task included:

• Design risk assessment and instructional handbook in accordance with harmonized standards.
• 2D drawings and instructions for full rotor sea transport, full rotor MCE storage, equipment transport, equipment storage, and handling of equipment.
• Load determination taking into account critical blade wind loads during MCE storage and survival conditions, and large rotor moment of inertia during sea transport.
• Detailed finite element analysis in ANSYS of rotor stand and adapters, including bolted connections, welded connections, twist-lock connections and deck fastening.
• Evaluation of fatigue life and allowable sea transport conditions for full rotor sea transport.
• Reporting including utilization of all load carrying members.
• Test and approval of design, user manual and instructions through FAT and SAT.
